Resources

The James Killebrew Collection

Mr. James Killebrew, long-time genealogy researcher, donated his entire collection of personally-compiled genealogy books to the library in 2011. He also donated an antique book case, formerly located at Clarksville’s first college, Stewart College, to house the collection. This lovely book case is located in the Brown Harvey, Sr. Genealogy Room. Many of the items refer to Christian County, KY, Mr. Killebrew’s main focus of his research. It contains court records, old school yearbooks, and personal letters Mr. Killebrew has collected over the years. This is a great asset to the genealogy department and to the local researchers, as well.

Faces of Valor

Faces of Valor is a series of booklets presenting the pictures and records of Montgomery County military veterans of all services and eras.

Vertical Files

This is a listing of all personal files left in the genealogy room by people doing research. They include family information, church histories, histories of communities, events, etc. These files are listed alphabetically and, we hope, will eventually have links that will allow the researcher to see the actual records held in each folder.
