Foster

Our Foster Care program is one of great need and is a great opportunity for those folks who have a little extra time or room in their homes to help those pets that need around the clock care such as sick, injured, or nursing animals that enter our shelter.

Foster requirements are as follows to be a provider:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must attend Volunteer Orientation, Foster Care Provider Training and submit to a home inspection if necessary.
  • Must be able to give foster animals lots of attention, care and affection
  • Must be available for at least 2 weeks at a time and possibly several months depending on the animals situation.
  • Animals in the home must be current on all vaccines.
  • Rabies Vaccine and Spay/Neuter proof is also required.
  • Have the ability to transport animals to and from the shelter for appointments or for emergency purposes.
  • Have a pet friendly home
  • Animals must be housed indoors
  • Must have a fenced yard if fostering a dog

When completing this form, please be sure to check and see if your current pets are up to date and no other preventative treatment they need.
