Mission Statement
The mission of the Montgomery County Highway Department is to provide the citizens of Montgomery County with a safe, cost-effective transportation system that ensures the mobility of people and products and promotes economic prosperity and preserves the quality of the environment.
Goal Statements
- To replace or resurface 40 to 55 miles of the 735 miles of Montgomery County roads annually
- To replace a bridge every other year, with a culvert when possible, and giving priority to bridges rated “low”
- Mowing and maintain total right-of-way areas six times annually

Roads Program
Purpose Statement
The purpose of the Roads Program is to build, resurface, and maintain more than 735 miles of road in Montgomery County.

Right-of-Way Program
Purpose Statement
The purpose of the Right-of-Way Program is to maintain all of the right-of-way areas in Montgomery County, mowing and clearing debris, maintenance and replacement of signage and traffic signals.
