Lieutenant Bishop Delaney is the Public Information Officer for the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. The PIO reports directly to the Sheriff and serves as the official department spokesperson for the media and in all matters pursuant to other types of inquiries from various sources.

Lt. Delaney is also responsible for responding to media inquiries, distributing press releases, coordinating press conferences and public events, assisting field personnel with local media relations, disseminating public service announcements, maintaining all social media accounts, and serving as a representative for the Sheriff’s Office at local events and meetings.

The Sheriff’s Office strives to educate the public, promote the department's accomplishments, and improve public relations by producing and disseminating accurate information through field programs, media contacts, press releases, public service announcements, and summary publications such as the annual report.

Requests for Public Records are processed under the Tennessee Public Records Act. Records are available, by request, to Tennessee Citizens.
