The floor of the 911 Center

The city of Clarksville maintains 3 dispatch consoles for the Police Dept, 1 Fire/Rescue console, and a console for their NCIC terminal. These positions are staffed by city employees and they handle all radio traffic for police and fire calls with the city limits. Dispatchers for Montgomery County EMS and Montgomery County Sheriff's Office are staffed by 911 personnel. They handle all radio traffic for both agencies and also assist the 911 call takers when incoming call volume is high. When 911 calls and non-emergency calls are received for call processing, they are entered into our CAD system (computer aided dispatch) and forwarded to the appropriate agency and dispatcher. The call takers also page out and dispatch for the Montgomery County Volunteer Fire Services.
