Bidding Requirements

All current bids can be viewed at the Montgomery County Purchasing Departments Current Bids webpage.

Any vendor and their associated sub-contractors (as noted) wishing to bid with the County shall expect to furnish the following documents when bidding:

• Bid form completed in its entirety
• Bid security in the amount of 5% of the bid by bid bond or cashier’s check (if required in bid documents)
• Statement of Qualifications **upon request**

After a contractor has been notified of a successful bid, the following items will be required:

• Prime Contractor Non-Collusive Affidavit
• Drug-Free Workplace Affidavit
• Title VI Contract Assurance Form
• General Indemnity
• Iran Divestment Act Certification of Non-Inclusion
• Listing of all proposed subcontractors and major material suppliers
• Certificate of Liability Insurance naming the County as an additional insured – the general contractor shall retain up-to-date copies of all subcontractor’s certificates throughout the duration of the project
• Payment and Performance Bonds

The omission of any of these forms may be cause for rejection of the submitted bid. The County does reserve the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive technicalities that may arise during the bidding process. All bidding will take place in compliance with T.C.A. § 62-6-119 and will be administered through the Montgomery County Purchasing Office that is located at 350 Pageant Lane, Suite 101-E, Clarksville, TN 37040. An excerpt of this code is included on County provided bid envelopes and is quoted as followed:

“Provide state contractor license number, expiration date, and applicable classifications for bidder and listed subcontractors except when such subcontractor’s portion of the construction project is less than $25,000 (Including materials and labor), or in the case of masonry, less than $100,000. For trades listed below, if Bidder will perform that work with Bidder's own forces, fill in Bidder’s name as subcontractor when required based on the monetary limits listed above. Failure of any bidder to furnish the required information shall void such bid and such bid shall not be considered. Requirements per T.C.A. § 62-6-119.”
