Montgomery County COVID-19 Elder and High Risk Match Program

Loving and serving our neighbors during the COVID-19 Outbreak.

Montgomery County COVID-19 Match wants to spread a message of hope and compassion by serving and loving our neighbors who are at risk of COVID-19. If you are a healthy young adult with low-risk factors for getting COVID-19, sign up today to be paired with an elder and/or high-risk person in our community who could use your help over the next several weeks.

About

We are preparing for the potential of a community outbreak of COVID-19 in the Montgomery County area by identifying healthy young adults (whose risk factors are low) who are willing to be paired with an elder and/or high risk person in our community in order to coordinate the delivery of essential supplies if/when needed. We also want to encourage regular check-ins with these elders by phone or other electronic means.

This matching program is being organized by private citizens and Rotary International District 6760 for the benefit of those in our community. To become a volunteer or if you are in need of assistance, please sign up under the appropriate Match Option listed below.

How Can You Help?

Once a match is made, you and your COVID-19 Match Volunteer will take complete ownership of the process. The idea behind Montgomery County COVID-19 Match is to connect vulnerable people to those who are at low risk for COVID-19 that are willing and able to help in this time of recommended social distancing. When you meet your match, what you do and how often you do it is completely up to you. Some ideas might include,

  • Call every couple of days to check in
  • Offer to pick up groceries or prescriptions
  • Deliver a homemade meal

Your Privacy

We take the privacy of your personal information very seriously and will only use the data that you provide to pair you with a COVID-19 Match that also lives in your community. Once we have made a match you will receive an email or a phone call with contact information about your COVID-19 Match.

Any information that goes through this app would be subject to the Tennessee Open Records Act. The county does not confirm the information submitted to this site nor monitors the site for security and use.

These volunteers live in your community and want to help you by getting groceries, picking up prescriptions, and checking in every couple of days.

During this time of social distancing, many elder and high risk members of your community are going to need assistance getting critical supplies while refraining from being in large public spaces.

​It is our hope to match those of you who are under 60, at low-risk for COVID-19 and healthy with elder members and neighbors in your community who are high-risk so that you can love them through this. You can help your neighbors by picking up groceries or prescriptions, delivering a homemade meal, a book from the library, or simply by checking in every couple of days.
