The Library welcomes volunteers from the community and appreciates the vital role that volunteers provide for our Library. Whether you are volunteering to build your resume, gain work experience, or simply to serve the community, your time spent at the Library is greatly valued and is beneficial to our mission of serving the public.
All volunteers must go through the Volunteer Clarksville Volunteer hub and sign up for a volunteer shift. Currently, our volunteer need is within the Circulation department. After books and other materials are checked in, you will be scanning and sorting them to prepare them to be returned to the correct location for the next borrower to find. You will also be ensuring that neatness and order are maintained for those books already on the shelves.
Rolling carts are used to move the materials, so you will not need to lift or carry heavy loads. You will be on the move quite a bit and need to be able to reach various heights of shelving.

**All volunteer opportunities on Volunteer Clarksville are for ages 18 and up. The children’s department accepts teen volunteers during the summer only to help with the summer reading program. Inquire within the children’s department for more information.
