Hazardous Waste Collection Events

Household Hazardous Waste Collection events are hosted annually to allow residents to dispose of various hazardous materials safely and conveniently.

 

Household Hazardous Waste Collection Dates

 

Montgomery County - Saturday, March 17, 2018 - 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Stewart County - Saturday, June 2, 2018 - 8:00 a.m. to Noon

Montgomery County - Saturday, September 15, 2018 - 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY EVENTS WILL BE HELD IN THE LOWER PARKING AREA BY THE TRANSFER STATION - 1230 HIGHWAY DRIVE - CLARKSVILLE, TN

STEWART COUNTY EVENTS WILL BE HELD AT THE STEWART COUNTY COURTHOUSE

During hazardous waste collection events we will accept up to 100 pounds of items such as household cleaners; automotive products; home, lawn and garden products; home maintenance products; and miscellaneous items such as old computers, batteries, pool chemicals, photoprocessing chemicals, medicines and drugs, aerosols and compressed gas. (view EPA list of common household items containing potentially hazardous ingredients). No dioxins or ammunition is allowed. Please contact the Bi-County office at (931) 648-5751 with any questions.

Please note that the following potentially hazardous household items are accepted at the landfill located at 3212 Dover Road for recycling during normal hours of operation in addition to being accepted at hazardous waste collection events.
