My focus is to ensure MoCo elected officials and employees have access to best-practice organizational development, talent development, and DEI resources. Everything that an employee learns, performs, observes, and feels contributes to the employee experience. An engaged MoCo employee correlates to the quality of service provided to our community, thereby reinforcing MoCo as a premier location to live and work. 

 

Lamar Walker

Payroll Specialist

I work as an administrative professional responsible for maintaining payroll systems and processing paychecks according to schedule and in the correct amount. My duties include consolidating timesheet information and entering data into payroll databases, auditing paycheck amounts and confirming that our payroll system distributes funds to employee accounts. What I do ensures that our employees are compensated properly and in a timely manner so that they can care for their families and, in turn, continue their work in support of Montgomery County.

Serves as a vital partner and liaison with operating departments to execute and/or support HR functions such as Oracle HCM (human capital management) workflow, HCM data oversight and ORACLE transactional guidance. Additionally, provides support for health benefits administration and policy/procedure inquiries.

Primary duties focus on the full life cycle of recruiting, including sourcing, attracting, interviewing prospective candidates, hiring, and onboarding employees for all departments within Montgomery County Government.

Serves as a vital partner and liaison with operating departments to execute and/or support HR functions such as health benefits administration/benefits programs, employee recognition, ORACLE HCM workflow and ORACLE transactional guidance along with policy/procedure inquiries.
